Autism (ARI)
This application has four categories: Advice for Parents, Topics and Treaments, ATEC- where individuals can learn about the ATEC Project, and ARI (Autism Research Institute)- where individuals can make a donation.

The ‘Autism Xpress’has been created to help promote greater awareness about autism spectrum disorders. It is designed to encourage people with autism to recognizes and express their emotions through its fun and easy to use interface.

IEP Checklist
The IEP Checklist App helps parents of students with special needs become better-informed advocates by making IEP information easier to access. Version 2 has active links to the relevant language in the federal regulations; allows users to record the IEP meeting or record notes; and has the capacity to print out notes and click on a checklist as requested items are discussed.

Going Places
Model Me Going Places™ is a great visual teaching tool for helping your child learn to navigate challenging locations in the community. The App includes six locations. Each location contains a photo slide show of children modeling appropriate behavior.

Autism Track
AutismTrack™ (by HandHold Adaptive®, makers of iPrompts®) is a journaling tool that empowers caregivers of those with autism to easily track interventions, behaviors and symptoms. Checkboxes allow daily recording of any therapy, medicine or diet. Simple “sliders” allow rating of any behavior or symptom (e.g., eye contact, aggression and echolalic speech).

S2L offers parents and educators the ability to create personalized stories using photos, text, and audio messages. These stories can be used to promote an individual’s literacy, leisure, as well as social skills.


ATEval2Go provides a guide through the evaluation process and a thorough template for technology consideration including the ability to enter text, pictures, and audio about background information, environmental observations, tools already within the environment, student abilities based on targeted goals, and potential recommendations. Using the iPad's multi-function capabilities, professionals can take pictures, record audio, and input text directly in the app generating rich, multimedia artifacts necessary for the purposes of documentation, analysis, and contemporary report creation.


Powered by Individuals may search the dictionary for any word, be provided with example sentences, synonyms and antonyms. A thesaurus is also available on this application

Advanced English Dictionary and Thesaurus
Instead of following the standard dictionary format, the WordNet dictionary is organized with an innovative and convenient approach. Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms, interlinked by means of conceptual-semantic and lexical relations. In addition to the straightforward definition the dictionary shows how each word is linked to other words in terms of synonyms, opposites and similar words, but also hyponyms and hyperlinks within the group.

Pictello is a simple way to create talking photo albums and talking books. Each page in a Pictello Story can contain a picture, up to five lines of text, and a recorded sound or text-to-speech using high-quality voices. Stories can be shared using iTunes File Sharing or via WiFi with other Pictello users through a free account on the Pictello Sharing Server. Stories can be shared with non-Pictello users as PDF files through email or iTunes File Sharing.

NOW combines the simplicity of GoTalks (Attainment’s popular original AAC device) with the dynamic capabilities of an iPad. FlashCards/Matching Games

Color Match
This application aids children in learing colors through a fun matching game.

Assits individuals in learning actions by using flashcards with words and pictures.

A series of flashcards that assist individuals in the learning and application of the English Alphabet.

A series of flashcards consisting of pictures and words that assist individuals in identifying and labling different emotions.

A series of flashcards consisting of pictures, words, and descriptions of animals to aid in the learning of different kinds of animals.

Fruits and Nuts
A series of flashcards that include words and pictures to aid in the learning of a variety of fruits and nuts.

A series of flashcards with simple shapes and short phrases that identify the shape of different objects in order to allow individuals to learn basic shapes.

A series of flashcards that include pictures of food as well as the name of the pictured food to aid in the development of vocabulary in terms of food.

Healthy Habits (HH)
A matching game which asks questions regarding basic healthcare and gives four possible answers in the form of pictures. Individuals can only move on to the next question after correctly answering the current question.

Which Does Not Belong? (WDB)
A matching game which shows four pictures, three of which have something in common. The individual must correctly select the one picture that does not belong in the group in order to procede to the next set of pictures.

Which Go Together? (WGT)
A matching game which shows four pictures, two of which are associated (Example: a bird and a nest.) By tapping the correct two, the individual may move on to the next series.

A matching game which shows three pictures then tells you to select the picture that represents the item that fulfills a certain task. (Example: Which do you sit on? A chair, a dog, or a spoon?) The individual may proceed only whenthey have selected the correct option.

Learn to Talk Sampler
An innocative audio flash card application that facilitates language development by using sight and sound to teach basical vocabulary and early learning skils

BrightStart allows individuals to trace uppercase and lower case letters as well as numbers in order to facilitate the development of writing skills.

This application visually and audibly introduces a word individually and then places it in a group with other words to increase word recognition


Kids Music
This applications allows individuals to explore the world of music without needing to purchase the actual instruments. A one octive xylophone and five-piece drum set are included in the original application. Individuals can play these instruments simply by tapping on the screen.


Microsoft OneNote for iPad is a note-taking app for capturing all of your ideas and to-dos on the go, brought to you by Microsoft Office. Create searchable notes with text, pictures and bullets. Make and manage to-do lists with checkboxes. Then keep your notes in sync using free Microsoft SkyDrive® online storage to access, edit and manage them from virtually anywhere, from your PC or almost any web browser. Notes Plus
Notes Plus is a powerful note-taking tool that supports handwriting, typing, audio recording and PDF annotation. It offers close-up writing mode, stroke smoothing, vector shape auto-detection, palm handling, complete folder structure, images, PDF exporting and emailing, automatic backup to Dropbox and more.

Neatly organize all your virtual notebooks on the shelf, each with a cover and title of your choosing, group related notebooks together and label the groups appropriately for better organization, password protect groups of notebooks on the shelf for privacy, rearrange pages within a notebook or move them to different notebooks to reorganize your notes and use tags to quickly search and locate pages within a notebook


A task manager that allows you to add pictures and videos. Reminders can be set to keep appointments organized. Time Table
For every day the application has a dayview (Monday-Sunday, customizable to 5-7 weekdays) with its courses. You can add any course (with one or two week timetable). According to the start- and endtime of the courses the view adapt to the time range. It is possible to add multiple timetables e.g. for the 1. semester, 2. ... etc. The app provides a task manager as well. You can add several tasks to a specific lesson with a notification and/or a due date.

Pocket Picture Planner HD
Pocket Picture Planner (HD) is the innovative mobile app that lets you view a personalized visual calendar of scheduled activities created with the desktop software, Picture Planner. Use Picture Planner to create your schedule by selecting from either included photos and symbols or your own imported images. Then sync your schedule using Pocket Picture Planner to your iPad to view the schedule, get visual prompts and reminders, and track activity completion on the go. It’s that simple! This is an ideal self-management app for children, users with autism, TBI, and other cognitive disabilities, elders, second language learners, or anyone who just likes working with pictures or who prefers a simple user interface for scheduling activities and getting reminders.
